So good to see the Republican Party finally realise what a liability President Orange Man Baby is and turn against him. Four years too late but better than never. And now social media have starved him of the oxygen of publicity to spread his white supremecist bullshit. About time.

The big question now is whether they can impeach him before time runs out (they won’t) or if they can give him some jail time for the crimes he has committed while in office. No doubt he’ll self pardon on the way out, but there is recorded evidence of him trying to commit voter fraud: even his stacked deck of Supreme Court judges won’t protect him then…

Unbelievable that it’s five years since David Bowie passed away. Revisiting his best stuff (1969-1986) to refresh the memory of how great he was.

The World has gone a bit bonkers since then, looks like he left the party at the right time.

Starting with a Famous Grouse. Same amount of chilled water as whiskey plus some rocks from the freezer.

Strange taste compared to beer and wine, no sweetness bar a slight honey aftertaste. Warming in the throat and seems to provide most of its taste after swallowing rather than in the mouth.

Not sure at this point if it is a pleasant taste or not. Certainly can’t taste the Grouse so the name is a bit misleading.

I’ve decided it’s time to have another go at whiskey. Tried it in my early 30’s and couldn’t get used to it, just tasted sour and harsh.

I could do with cutting down on the calories and sugar in wine so am having another go, hence getting a batch of whiskey miniatures to start doing some taste testing!

Also been given some whiskey rocks by some great friends so I can get the temperature right. Got to be snobbish about it, right?
