So it turns out the concert wasn’t just a farewell, it was a Living Wake. Sad for his family but it was kind of a rock and roll way to go and he got to appreciated his legacy before he went.

Couldn’t resist taking a picture of the mileometer of the new Nissan Note as it rolled over to 100k! Sad I know!

Last week The Duchess and I booked Penny in with her favourite dogsitter and headed Oop North on a Monday to Friday trip away. Here’s a brief summary

I’ve been gifted a little pot of sourdough starter by my boss, from his family culture that is already 16 years old (which is a good age, though we we were told of one in San Francisco that was 150 years old!)
We are now going to feed and care for it until it grows enough to start making our own bread.

The (literally) tiresome ongoing fatigue and brain fog is getting worse, to the point where I am now having to regularly take sick leave and retire to bed for a nap during the day to recharge the batteries.
Trying to stay on top of some major technical projects is difficult enough without having meetings where you can’t take anything in.
It doesn’t help when the GPs just put it down to age and tell you to take a nap. Thanks for that!
Having tried various supplements and treatments with no success I’m now trying something a bit left-field with the Nicotine Patch Protocol.
It has been suggested as a way to help fight some of the symptoms of Long COVID, ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome with about half those trying it seeing improved energy and clearing the brain fog, so I am giving it a try.
Felt a bit strange as a non-smoker going to the chemist to get patches on prescription and having to wean myself ON them! I’ve done a couple of days with half a patch to get used to it and despite some sickness the first morning I haven’t felt too bad so far so am now heading into a week of full patch hoping it makes a difference. Fingers crossed!

It’s the time of year when you struggle to locate some of the canine landmines laid in the park thanks to the leaves and mud. Can you spot the poo in this picture?

Couldn’t resist paying to listen back to the final ever Black Sabbath gig that happened yesterday in the UK.
9 hours of who’s who of heavy metal all paying tribute to the band that invented the genre; supergroups, drum-offs and all from the comfort of my desk.
Have turned the volume up to 11 on my headphones and ready for the inevitable tinnitus tomorrow.
For those about to rock on demand we salute you!
